Can anyone compare a Digitech RP1000 vs Behringer V-Amp2 for live use?
Has anyone here used both of them and put them through use live through amps and/or PA:s etc? What are your thoughts?
As a long time user of a V-Amp 2 I know it is ok for recording and headphone practice. Direct through a PA it gives a sort of acceptable sound. With an amp it is not too convincing. Since it is almost a decade old now I'm thinking of getting something new. From what I have seen online I think the RP1000 looks and sounds good (even if it is a couple of years old already.) How much improvement could you expect in the live scenario with modeled amps through a PA or an amp. Is it night and day or rather subtle in reality (given that you know how to tweak each unit)?

I guess it's the direct aspect I'm most interested in. Although the flexibility of using the RP1000 as a pedal board replacement is also tempting.
I haven't had the chance to try any recent modelers directly into a PA yet and I was curious if someone could characterize the difference between these two from personal experience.
