recommend me a disto

Hi
I'm not satisfied with my ts9 and my big muff. In fact i'd like something in between. Not asfuzzy as the muff, but thicker and dirtier than the ts. I play 60s to 80s rock with a vox night train or peavey delta blues 115.
I saw boss ds1 and os2 . What else should I consider?
txs

what Amp?

Fulltone OCD is good. smoother than a fuzz and has more gain the most TS's. Nice at lower gain as well for me.

I agree that the OCD can be thicker and dirtier than a TS but to my ear an OCD sounds pretty bad once you turn the gain up past 11 or 12 o'clock. I love the OCD but have it set at around 10, and at that setting I'm not sure if it's really all that much thicker. I've never played a crunch box, but I have played the old guvnors that they are based on, and to me the guv'nor has a more pleasing sound at heavier, thicker settings. So I think I would try the crunch box before the OCD, based on what I think what the OP wants.

Ditto. It's actually a pretty versatile little box.

I really like my Barber Tone Pump for dirty, raspy, crunchy O/D bordering on distortion. I think it might be my favorite pedal.

I recently got a dr. Scientist "the elements" pedal and it is amazing it can pretty much do anything type of drive you want it is an eq,clean boost, overdrive, distortion, and fuzz In one box and the eq let's you get pretty much any distortion sound you want.

sparkling blue box sounds really nice. Same for the MI audio. problem is that they are very difficult to get inFrance. I went to the shop just near with my tele and tried a few, including local handmade stuf. I decided for a vox satchurator that really makes it. Sound is good, and on top of that, the double switch is really interesting for some of the tunes we play, needing a small amount of disto for the cool parts, and some dirtier sound for the punchy ones.
