I have version 2, and i love it. From slight fuzzy to very fuzzed out, bass and treble.

I only know version one, and I like it.
V.1 is a bit polite though for a fuzz... it's not the "broken speaker/low battery" type of sound.

The Dano CC Fuzz V.1 is a "clone" of the Frantone Peachfuzz (a distortion meets fuzz) and I have read (on TGP) from those that own both that it sounds much like the Peach Fuzz

Just like with the V.1's of the Drive (OCD clone) and V.1 TOD (Timmy), Dano "chose" to go with another circuit design with the V.2 Fuzz to avoid possible legal/ethical issues... I owned a Dano V.1 Fuzz (when it first came out) for a few days, but gave it to a buddy as a ""used" X-mas present! Was not the sound I was looking for I guess, but I never gave it much of a chance either

I had the V1 fuzz and gave it to a friend.. the problem with cheap pedals is you don't think twice about giving them away!
It was cool, although much more like a distortion than what I'd consider a classic fuzz sound.

Yup! I know I have mentioned this before, but I found out the hard way (spending lots of $$$) that it's just better to save up and get a good dynamic fuzz that really has the sound I want, than spending more $$ on 3-4 cheaper fuzzes that fall short- done "crossing my fingers" for the right pedal!

I have NO experience with the Dano CC Fuzz, but I think one problem often with fuzz is that you can listen to say a youtube demo, and okay it sounds good, but often in a band context a fuzz gets sonically buried.

It is also playing/gigging context too. The classic rock/blues band I play in is a one-guitar band (me!) and use OD's or OD tone settings that would not cut nearly as well if there were a second guitar in the group. (Of course that GFS Brownie can kill a herd of elephants playing guitars!)

A sixties voiced Tele, through a CC Fuzz into a DR or similarly voiced amp gets Led Zeppelin I tones without much effort.... I need to try it into my newer amps.

While it doesn't stay on my regular gigging board, I have a hard time giving it up. It's a sound I like goofing with somewhat irregularly. But then, I like fuzz in general.
