It's kind of a long story but guiar center is sending em to me for free, so I'm not 100% what I'm getting yet. Im kind of at their mercy. Which do you prefer?

I'm not terrible with a soldering iron...

The solderless ones are easy you just have the cable and it sticks into the end of the reciever that way you can stick them together at any length you want and what not. I am pretty sure the other ones come pre assembled so if you are getting the kit u are probably getting the solderless. The theory with solderless is that not having any solder is one less contact point so it will cause less capacitence and just cable degredation. I have never A/Bed Solder vs Solderless cables so I cannot tell you if there is a difference myself, but have had the George Ls solderless kit and loved it. I just havent tried any of Georges other cables......

Dude I actually LOVE the j side of the j&h. Plus the visual sound is absolutely gorgeous to my tone. Plus, the j&h was a gift from a buddy

Very interested to hear what you think of the DD-20 vs. the Nova. It was your suggestion that made me dump my DL4 and buy a Nova. I thought the DL4 was more organic / musical / warmer, and I miss that. But the Nova is super functional. So let me know how the two compare.

Tone wise, i feel like they are very similar. The DD-20 can do more, but it's less practical. I bought it as a steal, as a 2nd delay to just kind of add some textures in, and use for stacking and big ambient stuff. After playing with it a few days, I think it will be great for that. But I certainly wouldn't want it as a stand alone delay. I'd still pick the nova 99/100 for that.

The tap tempo with an FS-5U on the dd-20 is less accurate than the nova, some of the parameter adjustments are complicated and hard to get to, and definitely not accessible on the fly like on the nova.

But, again, it's not a bad second delay.

I like being able to get a warm sounding quarter with the dd20, feeding into the nova set for a cleaner dotted eighth. Gives it so much mojo I don't even know what to do with myself.

Congratulations! Great new pedals.

Does the Keeley pop when turn it off and on? How loud is the pop if it has one?

Thanks mate! I'll have to let you know, I'm using it as an always on pedal at low compression levels. So i haven't really turned it on or off. I'll be playing at church first thing in the AM and will test it out and update for ya =]

Just checked, there is a small pop. Definitely not annoying or interfering. I am also using a 1-spot, so I'm not sure if that would change anything.

How do you use the Sonic Stomp? I've heard of some guys using this as an 'always on' pedal to get some sparkle, or some using it as a treble boost for solos. What do you use it for? I've thought about adding one to my board too. And why as the last pedal in the chain?

I use it as an always on pedal. I just use it with both knobs at noon to correct the phase issues between high and low end so it all comes out sounding full and in your face. It's like taking a blanket off my amp. It can sound like it's adding sparkle, but it's really just correcting something that's already there you're just not hearing because phase cancelation.

It goes last in the chain, because it's correcting the signal for phase problems and shouldn't have anything else between it and the amp. =]

It's kind of like a magic mojo pedal.

I used mine the loop of my Blackstar HT-5. I moved everything around and put the amp and cab, as well as all the pedals on a huge shelving system and need to hook it back up.

I noticed you're missing basically all modulation/non delay effects:

Chorus
Flanger
Phaser
Tremolo
