EHX LPB-1 & BYOC CB question

I have the LPB and the BYOC confidence boost I just put in an enclosure and made a real pedal out of. I like them both. I ran them side by side and they are different beasts tonally and internally.

Then for fun I ran them together............me rikey!

Super gainy as you can imagine but fuzzy & distorted, almost muffish at times but with more mids and clarity. Sustain forever

So, someone explain the difference between these pedals for me please?

And when run together, are they kind of like a lightweight muff in that they are just 2 gain stages?

Thanks!
