Man. I really need to stop reading these forums as well.... It seems I've got a MAJOR case of gas now. And I'm a huge sucker for a good deal.

Can anybody vouch for any of the other rogue pedals? I know the analog delay gets pretty good reviews...

I'm wondering about the comp & trem mainly.

The Deltalab distortion gets good reviews.
They are Belcat pedals, and they also come out under other different names, Modtone (who charges much more for them), Hofner, and a few others. I don't think the DeltaLab pedals are the same, but I'm not sure.

Check out this page, scroll down and it lists the various brand names they come out under:

I have and like the comp. Although you may not be interested, I also have the blues distortion and as mentioned it sucks a lot of the bass out (in my opinion) but sounds great modded.

They're not the same as the Deltalab.

What caps did you mod and with what values?

The part reference numbers aren't correct but it basically the same schematic. I don't remember the reference on the Rogue board but on this schematic it is C6 and C7. I think they were 10nf on the Rogue. I probably put them up to 220nf or higher. (It was a while ago.) I think I might have changed R5 and R6 as listed on this schematic also just to put it closer to the old bluesbreaker pedal schematics.

I don't have any audio samples but it significantly raised the bass output. The pedal does not sound like a tubescreamer...like many other pedals...

Is it a smooth OD? I'm using a Deltalab TO-1 and it is a super smooth, TS style pedal...great od for the money...got it on sale at GC for 29.99...I like it better than boutique ODs I've owned.

It is not very TS like in my opinion.

I did some quick recordings using the computer microphone. Again, this is a MODIFIED Rogue Blues Distortion (modified to be values more like the original Marshall Bluesbreaker pedals). All of the bass is gone with the stock pedal. The playing is sloppy and the recording is noisy but you can get the flavor of the distortion.

You'll have to let me know what you think of it once it comes in. I'm a little nervous to spend any more $$ before I know it's halfway decent. I already have a cheap beheinger compressor, so I don't need another cheap one.
