DD-20 Problems! Help!

I have had my Boss DD-20 for over 5 years now leaving no warranty to work with.
I have never had a problem with this pedal untill now...Basically its down to the Rate Knob....when twisted left delay time is SUPPOSED to decrease but with my DD-20 either way its twisted the delay time just increases...has anybody else experienced this problem or know how to fix it?

All help would be greatly appreciated!

As you know the "delay time" knob can be pressed in to go through the delay time in increments. Try that if you havent already.

Ive think i came across that problem with my 2 dd-20s.
I Remember once when i plugged it into an 18v patch from my voodoo lab the delay knob had a fit for a while jumping values when i tried to dial it. So i just pulled the plug in and out and it went back to normal.

Have you tried a factory reset?

1. Switch off the power.
2. While holding down the WRITE button, switch on the power.
The MEMORY Number indicators (1-4) flash.
3. Press the WRITE button.
After the MEMORY Number indicators (1-4) begin flashing rapidly, the setting is stored in memory and the unit returns to its ordinary state.
* To cancel the setting change and the unit returns to its ordinary state, then before you press the WRITE button, operate the MEMORY/TAP or ON/OFF pedal.

tried the factory reset and it hasnt made any difference, it's been like this for maybe 4 months and gradually got worse until this point now where i can never get the rate to decrease. I have always used the correct power source so it just seems odd to me how it can "just go" i may contact boss too see what they say.

That may be your only option at this point. I do not know what kind of pot it uses, if its the pot at all. You could also have a DSP that has gone south. Might be repairable but I have no idea how much that would be.

If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.
