Comp>OD>Boost or Other Way Round - A Little Help With Effects Ordering

I'm putting together a small board into a tweed. I have a CMATmods Sign Comp/Drive. It's just what it sounds like, one box with the comp first, I'm about to pick up a combination Boost, OD and buffer. Since it's a buffer and I have an EP type buffer at the end of the chain, I intended to put the Boost/OD/Buffer first, into the the Signa Comp/Drive. Then I thought maybe I should put the comp before the boost/OD. Any thoughts?

Mine is like this tuner-comp-eq-dist-od-od-fuzz-mod-delay-verb, that's what works best for me. I have tried it alot of different ways this is how I like it best. You just have to try a few things and see what works best for you. But usually it will be comp before od.

Comp into OD sounds best for me. I have the boost function built into my OD so I am not sure if it is pre or post.

I think your setup is fine that is actually how I am running it right now as well. Boosts sound good both before and after OD's and it is more of a personal preference on where you wanna put it...

Comp > OD. If you want more gain, put the boost before the OD, but after the Comp. If you just want a treble or volume boost, then put the boost after the OD. But Comp should go first.

Just experiment and see. After years of running my comp first, I tried it after the OD and was surprised at how nicely it worked. For me, boost into OD is a must.
