I've been using one with a Fender Deluxe amp (not reverb or re-issue) and
it comes very close to a Marshall-like sound.

Great pedal, up there with the OCD, Catalainbread DLS and Suhr Riot for that Marshall in a box tone.

Alright! Good info. And I am running my board into a 66 Deluxe, so I should be on the right track.

Like I need another OD.............thanks.

HEY FEZZ--love your videos. And I like the sound of your pickups. I just got an LSL Tele and I am not so sure about the bridge pickup. I am going to keep playing around with it, but it seems to bright for me. You seem to be on the right track with a fat bridge pickup that's not too bright. So--make us a video with the MI Audio Crunch Box!

Had one and sold it. Sounds like a Marshall but with a touch of fuzz added. I swapped it out for a Hardwire SC-2 pedal and haven't looked back.

Had one & sold it (to the lead player in my band) cause I felt it was to limited in its tone tho I LOVED the way it fattened up my single coil bridge pups. I replaced it with a Distortron, more range but too bright for me & it didn't fatten up the bridge at all. So I sold it...& missed my crunch box to the point I almost stole my old one back.

Now I've got a xotic bb pre & I don't miss my crunch box anymore. It has the great thickness I loved but also has the flexibility I wanted. It doesn't have quit the harmonics of the CB but enough for me.

Thanks bud. My Oildale bridge pickup is a relatively low wind and A5 mags. It can be bright depending on the guitar it's used in. pot values etc. Lowering the one in your LSL, might help a little.
