What's on the bottom of a Korg Pitchblack?

I've used a Boss TU2 for a few years now and it's a great tuner but I'm considering replacing it with a Korg Pitchblack.

The reason for this is I've put together a pedalboard which is pretty crowded and I've hit the TU2's wide footswitch accidentally when going for my Little Big Muff. Instead of creamy smooth solo tone I got silence. Luckily this was at a practice, not at a gig! I think the smaller switch on the Pitchblack might give me enough room to avoid this problem in future.

So, to get to my question - What's on the bottom of a Korg Pitchblack?

I guess there's some rubber on the bottom which will make it hard for velcro to stick. I use velcro to attach about half of my pedals to my board, the others are attached with bike chain links, so does the Pitchblack have screws that can be easily removed so I can put the links on?

The only music store near me doesn't have a Pitchblack in stock and I don't want to spend £50+ only to find I can't attach the pedal to my board.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I forget exactly what it is, but mine has had velcro on it since I got it without any issues at all.

If the bottom has screws cut velcro into strips long enough to run between the screws. Cut holes into the velcro that line up with the pedal.

Get some washers and screw the strips and washers into the base of the pedal.

Pitchblack

I put some velcro on my Pitchblack, no issues. I did clean the rubber really good with some rubbing alcohol first so the adhesive from the velcro would stick well.

The pitchblack has a ca 1/2 inch strip of rubber at both ends. I have no problem using velcro with it. I have mine put on a "riser" made out of plywood because the switch is quite low compared to my other pedals.

I think my problem is I've got some self adhesive velcro that isn't very adhesive.

Good idea! (At first, I thought that was a red sponge--but that would make it difficult to press the switch, wouldn't it? :))

There is the standard configuration screw in every corner. I use the bike link method and it works well with this pedal.

Well, I've ordered a Pitchblack but just got an email to say it'll be delayed because of the snow. When it arrives I'll attach it to my board with chain links. I've also ordered some more self adhesive velcro for my other pedals, hope it's better than the rubbish I already have.

Those riubber strips on the bottom of the Pitchblack come off pretty easy, just clean off the left over residue and you should be fine. I have mine velcroed to my Pedaltrain and it takes some effort to remove.

This is totally off topic but, how does the bicycle chain thing work? Anybody have a picture?

Funny you should mention it, but I just got one tonight and am somewhat mystified by whatever it is. Shiny, slick rubber, no non-skid at all. Odd.

I got it for $67.20, shipped, plus a $20 rebate and free power supply, so for $47 bucks, I guess it's OK.

I can't for the life of me see where that $150 MSRP is coming from, though.

Music123.

BestBuy.Com and Amazon had them for $69.99, shipped, so I called for the 123 lower-price guarantee thing, which they did, only the kid screwed it up and discounted it an extra $2.30 instead of an extra $4.60, but then he said that they were including a free power supply for some reason, which was shipped separately. It shipped from Musician's Friend, which is OK, as MF is an authorized online Korg dealer and Music123 apparently isn't.

Korg has a $20 rebate on them for the rest of the year.
