Anyone own or played one of these? I really like the sounds on Youtube, but would like some more opinions. I would use it with a Tele or a Reverend Flatroc into a 5E3 clone BTW. |

Great pedals, reasonably priced, built solid, made by hand in the U.S.A Or http://www.machineheadpedals.com/CG.html Again, hand built and reasonably priced. Enough of these overpriced Tubescreamer clones already! |

A little late, but I do own one of these. I love it. It is a totally unique pedal. It seems to have a tone that I haven't found in other boxes. It somehow mimics to my ears, the dual types of distortion in a cranked amp. I mean, it has an overdrive sound, and then manages to produce the harmonics and distortion of a speaker cone also. It is a little bright at times, and amazingly enough, seems to favor single coils over humbuckers. It sounds wonderful with my tele. It's a little muddy to me with my Ibanez AS73. As a side note, mine has suddenly started making some strange switching noises. So, I am going to see if the lifetime warranty holds up. Just sent Greg an email tonight and will update as to what happens. If he is a man of his word, I would say it's worth the money. However, it IS a unique tone that will NOT work for everyone.
