MXR effects backplates??
Does anyone know where to get backplates for traditional size MXR effect boxes? Or do one of the Hammond cases' backplate work? There was someone on eBay selling a bunch of them a several months ago but I missed the auction at that time.

The MXR effects(at least the Dynacomp) use the aluminum Hammond boxes. You can get them in all the normal sizes from Mouser Electronics - they even have pre-painted ones. Don't know if they sell the covers seperately but they should fit with no problem.

the old MXR's are either BUD or Hammond depending on when it was made. but from a functionality standpoint i think the current Hammond will fit either. but i'm sure you'll have to buy the whole box just to get the cover. Although, the Z Vex one that has the power supply connection will work also. and is available separately. plus you get a power supply connnection. that's what i've got on mine.
