i like my purple ibanez job, CS-9, i think? very subtle, as i think choruses should be.

On the other hand, wouldn't it be funny to have a chorus box with a knob that you can dial to "the 80's"?

I think you can do far worse than the Boss units, (I have 3). I think it's tough to argue against a CE-2. JMO

the chorus side of this pedal is amazing! They sell only the chorus side but its not the same circuit and it doesnt sound as good. if u got 200 bucks i would say do it then u got a delay at ur disposal too

depends on waht you like.... i like maximum spread and minimum warble, so a vintage Boss DC-2 or DC3 are great for that. Stereo out.Extremely subtle, but it wont do the Nirvana thing.

What about this one?

This is mine and I picked it up a few weeks ago for about 40 USD.
Used, of course, since it is an Ibanez series 10 from the Eighties.
Mine is made in Japan. It is analog and can produce a wide range
of chorus sounds. From subtle to over-the-top.

Just do a search on it on TDPRI. You will find many satisfied users.

I just picked up a new MXR Micro Chorus ($80). Analog Bucket Brigade goodness + simplicity! It sounds awesome with my Carbon Copy and OCD. I'm in '80's heaven!

Check out the demo at PGS.

That's probably the best chorus I've ever used.

I've been preferring modulated delay over chorus.

i do like my H2O from Visual Sound. . .I tried lots of chorii before selecting this one and briefly owned an Ibanez CS9 but traded it in on the H2O. .

It has a wonderful range of possibilities and can be very rich, very lush or can be minimal, as you like it. Also can be combined with the Delay with which it shares the box.

I would definitely try it before making a decision, that's the proof of the pudding!

Of chorus. Look for a used Line-6 MM4, and you'll have a fantastic chorus, plsu phaser, flanger, tremolo, ring modulator, leslie simulator etc for free!!

I got mine for $100 (adapter included) and it works FLAWLESSLY.

I have owned 5 different chorus' & 3 multi effects units w/chorus & I haven't liked any of them. I think I have learned my lesson to not buy any more of them. The only modulation effect I use is a Voodoo Lab Tremolo.

I had a Boss CS-1, sold it and got an EHX Small Clone (original chassis, not the nano chassis).

Does not do subtle. I love it, but the lack of more than two hard-wired options for the depth means you better like those two options. I do.

I think the MXR stereo chorus is pretty good too, but admittedly I have tested several choruses that were just darned deficient. .
