Another cool fuzz is the Huckleberry by Mojo Hand. It is (I think!) a hybrid si/ge fuzz with a Big Muff tone stack. It doesn't sound like a FF at all.

I could have a pedalboard dedicated to fuzz. The trick then would to find a band where I can use them all!

I like the EH Bass Big Muff. I bought it for my bass, but I am keeping it for my guitar. When I tried the USA Big Muff, I was kind of underwhelmed, I guess because I like some bass in my tone and it sounded very treble-y to me.

With the Bass Big Muff, you get the classic Big Muff fuzz sound with plenty of bass. The dry mode is pretty sweet, it lets you mix the fuzz with your clean tone.

!
Oh i can do the same here mate

Would LOVE to be in a band that is 1 part Black Keys, 1 part Fu Manchu, 1 part Acid King, 1 part Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and a dash of early White Stripes, and just a sprinkle of SLEEP.

That will enable me to have one board dedicated to just fuzz boxes.

Awesome style!!!
Count me in as well!

I don't have a board. I just string 2 or 3 different fuzzez together everytime. My bandmates just shake their heads

So that's my problem - always gotta have sufficient fur on the board.

I am liking my Sun Face NKT. It is my favorite so far but I have not been a big fuzz user in the past. I also have a Big Muff but I like the fuzz face style fuzzes better than the muffs. The muffs just don't react the way germanium transistors do to your picking and guitar volume.

I'm really fond of the Zvex Fuzz Factory, although it's definitely a pedal that takes some playing with to get a good sound out of it. There's tons of tone in there, but lots of unusable sounds too (at least for my uses). But it's the thickest, nastiest, raunchiest sounding fuzz I've ever heard in my life.

I really wanna try a Fuzz Factory someday...

The two I like most so far has been my old Fulltone '69 (does low gain OD really well too) and brand new Malekko Fuzz - it cops quite a range of tones. Right now, I've got it dialed in for some Super Fuzz style slight octave type stuff.

Agreed. Have you messed with the internal trimmers? I just got mine so I'm still in the tweaking phase, any suggestions would be great. I'm not sure I like it with my AC30 too much though, I haven't tried it with the Traynor Mark 3 though, might sound good. I wonder how it would sound through a Bassman 59 RI, I think that might be my next amp.

Zvex Fuzz Factory simply because it has THE most fuzz available I've ever heard & its a wild uncontrolable beast,Perfect for that " dude! I think your amps about to blow up!!! " tone that is so important with impressing the kiddies these days. Though I do like what Im hearing in the Foxx tone machine clips I've watched on youtube....

Yes I have. I have "Clip" set at 9 o clock and "Voice" all the way off. On top, I set the Scoop and Crunch controls all the way up and the Filter between 12 and 1 o clock. Gain around 3 o clock usually. Though it does it very well, I'm not going for a super scooped sound but closer to a Fuzz Face kind of thing. The clip control is super usable, but I don't have any use for the other trim pot, which only intensifies the scoop.

IF, you are refurring to the amount of dirt, you must hear the Catelinbread V8 Fuzz Engine.
It make the ZVex sound like a Clean Boost

" " dude! I think your amps about to blow up!!! " tone that is so important with impressing the kiddies these days " . . . like NEIL YOUNG's tone on 'Hey, Hey, My My' ???

. . . don't think he got that signiture tone of his to impress them kiddies

They are my fav. "heavy" band.

2) http://www.amazon.com/Jerusalem-Slee...0823526&sr=1-4

4) http://www.amazon.com/One-Sleep/dp/B...823526&sr=1-10

IF, you like SLEEP, you might like Earth (if you do not know them allready)

They do either skweekie kleen Tele tones on an album, or complete fuzzed out Doom's Day, ermmm, FUZZ on an album.
They do not mix their sounds on an album.

Oh let them shake their heads . . . "we" will bring the DOOM, and level the cities, one gig at a time
