if you're going to the store, try the whole lot. there is no point in asking us if you can hear them for yourself. my .02 would be to get the buddy guy wah. |

Crybaby, Vox, or Morely are all good for the price. You can't go wrong...

I tried those 2 and of course slash pedal was good but not my thing, the new vox wah pedal I didn't like because it cuts a lot of the sound. So I asked to order the Crybaby (I can't ask to order 5 wah pedals). Yes Buddy Guy wah pedal... OMG if I could try that one...

I'd say probably the Vox, if it's a new pedal you're buying. I'm not crazy about the Dunlop Crybabys myself. If you had the time to search out a used one, I'd try to get an original Thomas Organ Crybaby (I prefer the Chicago version) they're not real cheap, but they are the real deal...

I have the Dunlop 535 Q which offers some different options and settings as compared to other pedals. Check it out. Here is Dunlops wah page:

I agree with the Crybaby 535Q. I didn't know what to get but I really didn't want to have to bother buying another one 6 mo. later. I looked for the most versatile thing I could find. There's so many settings on this I've had it for 6 months and I'm still exploring options. It's quiet, and heavy duty like most crybaby's. I feel like I can control how responsive it is with different settings.
"http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dunlop-Crybaby-535Q-MultiWah-Pedal?sku=151016" Goodluck! Perhaps if we knew what you were going for tone/sound wise, and what you were working with to begin with (current gear) we could help better.

I have a Morley (classic)
I had to do a lot of fiddling with the LED placement to get it working anywhere near 'right'. OK - It was not rocket science , but should I have to do that?! It is OK now, but out of the box it was little more than a cool looking boat anchor. And on that basis, I would not honestly recommend the more basic Morleys.

I have a GCB-95, Teese RMC5 Wizard Wah and a Budda Budwah. If you want a comparison, I've done some on youtube.
Just remember that a stock Crybaby will suck a lot of tone when in bypass mode BUT true bypass mods are pretty simple with them. I haven't owned a Vox so I'm not sure about them. The Budda is a great wah that I just love using.

I have a BBE wah that I love. Could never bond with any of the Dunlops. Have never tried Teese, Buddah, or Area 51 (although I've heard very good things about that one)

I might be getting a good deal on a Teese RMC3, right now I have a chrome Dunlop 535q that I use occasionally, but it messes with my tones. My friend just bypassed his, so I am going to have him do the same for mine.

It's probably too late, but I'll throw in a little plug for the Ibanez Weeping Demon wah. I haven't owned a lot of wahs, so I can't compare on tone very well. The thing I like about it is how it operates. Instead of having a switch that you click by pressing the pedal down, it automatically turns itself on and off. It is spring loaded, and when you move it from the all-the-way-down position, it turns the wah on. No more not pressing down hard enough, and no more announcing when I turn my wah on and off with a burst of screechy treble.
It's got a buffer. I haven't noticed any tone sucking, although I haven't done a lot of a/b testing with it. Morley makes a wah that operates the same way (I think it's called a Bad Horsie or something like that). It costs a lot more, though. |

Thanks for the help but I bought one that no one talked about:
Ibanez WH-10(v2): I think I'm gonna love it. When he arrives I will make a review on this forum so everybody can see the potential of this pedal. Thanks, JoaoM.
