fat boost?
is there a pedal that is similar to engaging a fat switch.i have a sf princeton reverb for clean tones but some times sounds thin. budget around 100$. here's what i have been looking at but never tried.
equilizer pedal boost pedals- mxr micro amp/bad bob/etc thes may not be what i need since i don't want louder just fatter. i also wouldn't mind a small amount of grit/overdrive in the pedal thanks |

I like the Bad Bob a lot, but I'm not sure it will produce a fat enough boost with a Princeton unless the amp is on the verge of OD itself. Something like a Tubescreamer or similar OD pedal set as a boost (drive near minimum, vol level up as much as needed) might get you closer. The Route 66 OD pedal is based on the TS-808 with the addition of a bass boost switch. It fattens up the midrange without a loss of low end, and when the drive is set a 9:00 to 10:00 o'clock it provides a nice fat boost. I'm sure the Fulldrive 2 and others act similarly. That combined with the presence boost of the Bad Bob creates a great tone with BF/SF amps like your Princeton.
