Vintage CS MXR Dyna Comp vs Barber Tone Press...

In terms of quality and preservation of the original tone, which one is better?
The Mxr Vintage Custom Shop Dyna Comp or the Barber Tone Press?
Thanks.

Vintage or modern stock...I don't see the Dyna Comp as attempting to be transparent at all. It adds a definite color...for those who like it...that's its mojo. I'm a big Dyna Comp fan...it's essential to the "tone in my head".

Obviously the Tone Press. Especially when using the blend knob. You can get into Dynacomp territory by adjusting the internal trim pot and cranking the sustain knob.
