Anybody have input on the BBE "Two Timer" delay?

This looks really interesting, and quite affordable. I am thinking about ordering one up, just wondering if anybody has tried or owns one, and has some input. The two seperate delay times is something I could really use, and it would be cool to do it without taking up two pedals worth of real estate, and at this price.

Thoughts on sound and/or performance from anyone in the know?

You and me both Jake, I just need a short slap and a longer 'ballad' type delay so what could be better ?, I don't need a million different times, tempo's, patches, presets, blah blah blah.
I have mentioned it to 'Mummy Christmas' so I might have to wait but I'd love to hear from someone who uses one, the YouTube demo's seem uniformly awful !

John, have you seen this one?

Seems pretty cool. I would rathe rhear it with a guitar, but at least this guy seems to know what he's doing, and does a decent demo.

I agree with some of the comments, the Boss does seem to decay smoother, but the BBE sounds cleaner and more transparent to me by far. Not to mention, with the BBE you can set the two seperate delay times in one pedal. One thing I have heard everywhere, is that when you switch between the two delay times, it's not a straight switch. It quickly ramps up, or ramps down. Kind of like moving the slider on an echoplex. This has been bothering some people, especially people who have grown up in the age of all digital FX and have never really gotten to get into a real analog or tape echo. I really think I'd dig it. I think people always set the repeat too high on their delays, and it makes them kind of muddy, but that's just my personal taste.

Anyhow, I think I'm gonna try one, and also dropped a very heavy x-mas hint about it. I need one for the exact same applications you're looking at. A quick slap-back for rockabilly and country stuff, and a little longer spatial thing for ballads and such.

We need to make a pact that whoever gets one first will post a full review back in this thread. What say you?

It's' a great concept. I kinda wish that the two modes could hold two completely different settings as the regen/mix settings for my "short and intense" delay are different to me "long and mellow" delay sound but all in all if I didn't have a Carbon Copy I'd definitely look into a Two Timer

I had one for about 18 months. Loved it. Sold it when I bought the Line 6 M9.

The Two Timer is warm. It's warm like an old DM-2. I used one delay for a Chet Atkins double and the other delay was long. You have to keep the number of repeats and the repeat volume the same but if you set a quick double and a longer delay with a couple repeats; it's very functional.

Built like a tank. Heavy metal project box with solid Tele style knobs.

Great box. My M9 does any sort or delay that I could desire (therefore I sold the Two Timer) but selling the Two Timer was a tough call.

The idea of having two independent delay settings in one pedal is pretty sweet, but I don't like how you have to click through one to get to the other. That's my only complaint about it.

Yeah, I don't really see that as a problem, I'm not going to be tap dancing on it during 2 bars of a solo and cussing that it "isn't there yet"

So Jakedog, was Santa kind ? he/she was kind of enought o drop off the Vox 'Timemachine' and I'm as happy as a dog with two d***s !!
So, I don't get the convenience of my two delay times and it doesn't work in the send and return of an amp (though there is some question about that) but whatever, it has a credible sounding 'true bypass' and it's a great sounding delay !!
The Hi and Lo fi and 'modern' and 'vintage' options actually work and make a difference and the tap tempo is logical and works well too.
Seems sturdy and sounds good and I can select my two settings easily from the range button (fingers crossed).
Might be worth a look if you get the chance.
