TC Electronic ND-1 Nova Delay vs. BOSS DD-20 Giga Delay

Anyone care to comment on the differences in performance of these two pedals?

I am looking at purchasing another (currently have the MXR Carbon Copy and an old Japanese DD-3) pedal. What I need/want is:

- digital readout so I can accurately work off the drummer's click track to achieve Edge/U2 delays in a live setting

- pedal not rack-mounted

- under $250

This brought me to the two listed in the subject line. I've read the reviews at MF and HC. Haven't found an entry comparing the two here at tdpri.

Thanks.

For what you want, Nova Delay in a second

It doesn't have a looper, which is why a lot of people would go for the DD20 instead

But I found the difference in sound quality to be astounding

+ 1 on the Nova Delay. Although my first one malfunctioned during the first 9 months - replaced under warranty no quibble.

Tone wise, terrific and very versatile.

It was to replace an Akai Headrush 2 (which I subsequently kept anyway) so bought the Nova delay + Boss RC-20XL looper (which is noisy and terribly fiddly).
