MXR Micro Amp users?

I've been intrigued by these boxes for a long time and am close to getting one. I'm interested in hearing from those of you who have one, had one, want one, or whatever.

I used one for years. As in about 15. I liked it well enough, but it always imparted a bit of a high-end boost that I never completely got along with. I always meant to replace it, but was always too lazy to actively seek out something I liked better. It would have meant buying and trying lots of different pedals, and I just wasn't up for it.

I finally stopped using it when I took a chance on a new LPB-1. I liked the LPB much better, but now it's acting goofy. Really loud pop whenever I step on the switch, so I shelved it. No boost for me right now. Maybe someday I'll get un-lazy and go on a quest.

I liked pretty much everything about the MXR except for that high-end bump. but to be fair, most people I tried to point it out to couldn't hear it. So it may or may not bother you. It's very apparent to me though...
