Great amp = less stompboxes!

Hello...

I just got my new amp. It's a CeriaTone 2550, which is a clone of the Marshall Jubilee 2550 amp.. Before I had a Blues Junior so it's a great update I got.. And I also had a decent amount of stompboxes trying to get the tone that I want, but I never found it with the BJ...

Now with the new amp I got the tone I want and my Big Muff Pi /w ToneWicker sounds soo much better with a marshall type of amp!.. but with the BJ I used a Trex Moller OD+bost pedal and now with the Ceriatone amp it's effect seem to be very weak compared with the effect it did on the BJ.. Samething about my Boss DS-1 + DS-2... how can this be? ..

When I used the BJ, I never used fuzz but I used all the other pedals.. Now with my Marshall type of amp I only use fuzz :S Which means that I got a bunch of stompboxes I'm not using :P

Agreed. The tone's already there, you just use pedals to shape/boost it.

I have a box of pedals, that sit out since refining my amps to a Lightning and a YGM-3, both of which have their own wonderful tones. Just use a wah, boost/OD and OD to give me options, live.
