Battery to AC adapter?

I bought an Octavio a while ago, and I really like how it works, except it eats batteries. Does anyone know of an adapter that would go from like a 9V battery clip to an AC adapter? Thanks.

Are you talking about a battery clip that's connected to a wall wart plug? If so, I'm not aware of any commercial products of this sort. It could probably be built. However, it's not difficult to find a 9V battery clip that mates with a dedicated power supply. Here's one:

Really? I always thought they didn't draw that much current. I have a Yardbox with a non-alkaline battery for about 3 months with constant use. Of course I disconnect the input jack when not using it.

Or are you looking for a way to have your batteries on the outside of your pedal, plugged into the adapter plug? Assuming that your wallwart converts into 9v, that should be as simple as twisting two wires together--one set on a 9V battery clip, the other on to the appropriate barrel adaptor.

Not sure--can it really be that easy?

Both Godlike and the One-spot series of adaptors has a battery-clip to wall-wart adapters for their series of power supplies. Musicians friend sells a $30 getting started pack for One-spot that includes a couple of the 9-volt adapators, plus boss, Rat, and Line 6 adapators.

I always disconnect it too. Idk, it just eats batteries. and considering the plug adapter thing is less than $5, it seems to make more sense than continuously buying batteries.

Thanks everyone.

Remember that most fuzz pedals from the 60's and early 70's relied on the battery for its sound since it is part of the circut. The best battery to use for fuzz boxes are the old carbon based ones that you can get at the doallr store. Akaline 9V batteries and straigt power from a OneSpot affect the sound.

Carbon-zinc is used instead of alkaline in cheaper 9volts.
