Luther Perkins Style
Aside from palm muting,what is needed to create the L.Perkins sound?
I know how to PM but it sounds like crap,not even close to Perkins sound,I have a Vox AC15CC1 amp,Tele Standard,am I in need of effects pedals?if so what is the recommended pedals for a good country sound? |

Luther Perkins used an Echosonic amp for some time, that had a built in echo.

Sure, use the "Tape" setting, set the repeats for only one or two at most, and use a rather short delay time, that should work!
Also, use the bridge pickup on your Tele (the middle position, while not 100% "original", might also work well), and a clean sound from your amp. Flatwound strings would make it perfect, but are not really an absolute "must"... |
