I've gone thru 2 DL 4's within the past couple of years and said goodbye to them and started using the T Rex Replica about a year and a half ago and I have'nt looked back. The DL4 was ok I did'nt care for the volume drop and I thought it also messed with the tone of my rig cool idea with all the sounds and tap tempo. But i'll have to say in my book the T-Rex is a winner hands down. Now mind you it does'nt have all the sounds that the DL 4 has but it's built like a tank sounds great has tap tempo has the brown switch which simulates analog or digital.Have'nt had any problems with mine at all I think it's an awesome pedal the only thing is the price tag I payed almost 400 bucks for it but it's worth it in my book.Go check one out and see what you think.Mark Moree akaDblStop

For that price, you could get the Line 6 M13. It's way more transparent than anything digital I've ever played or heard, and has all their delays, distortions, modulations, reverbs, and filters.

Well, I'd hate to know what the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo costs there.

(By the way, that thing sounds absolutely prettier than anything you've heard... but it's not even worth the price here in the US. I just can't fathom paying $1,200 for a delay.)

Check out an Eventide Time Factor... Fantastic delay quality, super-programmable (and not that difficult) and a built in looper! The one I bought was originally owned by Tom Bukovac :)

I am happy with my EHX Deluxe Memory Man (modded by Analogman). The slight modulation that I dial in sounds AWESOME with longer delay times. And the slapback settings sound great, too. I cannot imagine a better delay pedal for my needs. It is quite big, though...

Hmm The reason why I would choose the replica over the DL4 is that I never will get to use all the settings you can get on a DL4.. So It would be kinda stupid to pay a way more to get the Eventide if I never gonna use all of its settings.!

I think the Replica is the one for me atm.
