I'm an idiot! I thought my Bad Monkey has died!
I've had a Digitech Bad Monkey for a while and it's always worked as it should. I plugged it in today and everything was fine until I switched it on. No sound at all! The light comes on but there's nothing from either output. When switched off, my signal goes through as normal.
Do you think this will be easy/cheap to fix? I haven't looked inside the pedal and I don't have any electronic test equipment. Help!

Sheepishly admits . . .
Many times I've plugged in the pedals, made sure they are on, plugged into the amp . . . no sound or just a loud hum . . .
On yeah, ya gotta put the plug into the *guitar* as well.

Ha! I feel ya on that one. Last night I cleaned the pc boards on my Rivera and when I reassembled everything to test it today I was sure I killed it. Nothing on either channel with the volume and master for each up loud. Then I remembered that if you zero out the bass, mid, and treble controls you get nothing. Turned those up and the glorious Rivera clean started coming out again. Definitely my "Doh!" moment of the day.

My favorite -- and I have to admit that this has happened more than once -- is when I'm getting no sound and a bandmate suggests checking to see whether the guitar is plugged in and I say, of course, the guitar's plugged in and when I look down, it's not.
Talk about a d'oh moment. Always gets a pretty good laugh, though. |

Been through the same thing with a volume pedal. Freaked out until I finally realized the pedal was in the up position and volume was turned off!

My routine idiocy at sound checks is to plug the lead into my amp, then into my Pedal input, then output to my guitar....on a TB pedal....sound, select the pedal.....silence....PANIC!
Tw*t.
