I got the invite to view the new video from Pro Guitar Shop and I thought it was amazing. They have the best pedal demos on youtube.

You lucky dog....what a great pedal. We need a full report after you get it.

Yeah they do. Andy also doesn't dumb things down, he seems like a cool guy who knows what he's talking about. Without him I wouldn't want half the things I do.

I was also wanting a 5E3 badly, but I already have the DRRI and I don't have the money for a new amp. this pedal seems to give the amp a tweed character and that's just what I need.
I have to say that Black Crowes lick sold me to this!

PGS has the greatest video demos and I still don't understand how could Andy play the DRRI siting so near with the volume like he does on the DRRI demo! It sounds amazing (something I never thought from my stock DRRI, just after some mods) and it's LOUD to be so close to the amp like he is!

When it get here I would make some demo.

I ordered mine yesterday when I saw the limited run of Spring Chicken Spring Reverb pedals (with added Dwell control) by Malekko.

I can't wait.

Does anyone know what Les Lius refers to? I read that the logo is from a stamp which can be found in craft stores. Beyond that I have no clue what the name means.

Was Keith maybe arrested there?

The pedal name is Vintage Valve, but the people call it by what says in the stamp.
Don't know the story behind the stamp.

I had one of these for a while. It was great sounding but a little too bright into my '64 Princeton. Sounded great into a Pod X3, though!

great pedal, love mine.

adds significant volume.

most wall warts cause nasty buzz/hiss. Go with batteries or pedal power 2+.

Loves to stack into a fuzz/muff.

Doesn't do too well with higher gain pedals in front of it.

Just got mine. Seems to have a significant boost with my Blues Junior and OG Les Paul.

Sounded like Keith Richards playing for Soundgarden.

More distorted than I would have expected. I'll try it with my Thinline Tele soon and post.

All of the Lovepedal offerings from the COT to the Woodrow, Super 6, Les Lius, etc. are all mainly an effect mainly cloned from an Electra MPC module - a distortion effect built into Electra guitars. It's essentially a single bipolar transistor (not germanium, mosfet, or anything else unique), with a pair of clipping diodes to ground (although the S6 probably omits them). The diodes are different in the particular models, and some take the gain off the transistor just like a booster, others alter the bias like a SHO, but basically the same.

...Someone might have more experience with the EH LPB-1, which is similar, but doesn't have the clipping diodes and isn't driven into distortion as hard as the Electra/Lovepedal circuit. But if you cascaded a pair of them into each other, you might get something akin to the Les Lius limited ed pedal (and a pair of the Nanos would cost the same!).

I still want to take the time and build a SuperLectraLuv - which will basically be every variation of the design, with a rotary for the diodes, and switching or knobs over anything that differs in the different designs.

Best Overdrive pedal I've ever had and so versatile too. I also use a LovePedal Amp 50 for more Marshall like tones and between the two I don't need anything else. Highly recommended!

Bump.

The Vintage Valve is one of three pedals that I still have from last year. I have traded in 8 other pedals for 3 better ones. Simpler setup!

The Les Lius/Vintage Valve is a keeper.

It seems there are a bunch of "Keefy Tweed" pedals in the boutique market right now. (Catalibread has a couple)

Anyone sold their LL or find they prefer a newer one?
