Carl Martin Red repeat Delay..Air raid siren feedback...

Anyone ever have a runaway air raid siren self oscillation that would not stop until you clicked the pedal off? maybe the pedal is too close to the amp?
It has happened to me twice in the last week or so...
Once I turned the dealy off it stopped....if I clicked it back on..AIR RAID SIREN.... weird

What's your setting for it?

Ehm the pedal's distance from the amp shouldn't affect such thing, never heard of it atleast and it doesn't sound logical to me.. but if it's something about being too close to the amp, you might have some very microphonic pups?

But I think it has something to do with your settings of the pedal..

Settings are very minimal 50s slap back..you would hardly notice it...so it is a mystery..
I am using my homemade Esquire with a 5.86 kOHM pickup...

Hmm ye I would understand it if you used a very low delay time together with a lot of feedback but since it isn't very noticeable then it can't be that?

I don't got a clue then :) but there sure are some people in here who can help you out I think.

This could be possible! I will take it out and measure it...replace if low..and see what happens next.

delay circuits are power hogs that will suck the life out a battery in very short order ...
