Rookie OD + Compression ?

I don't have much experience with pedals. I use a Ibanez TS9 that was modded to an 808 and is literally on all the time.
Question is......what happens to the sound when you run an OD pedal and compression pedal at the same time? Nice combined sound?....or with the acceleration of the electrons from your over drive combined with the compression of the signal do you get a ossilation and splitting of the affected neutrons resulting in a secondary "China Syndrome" and making a big molten mess on your basement floor?
Thanks

No, but it will overheat your flux capacitor.

I have a Dyna Comp that is always on set at low compression. Fattens up the tone nicely...makes the OD's sound better and fuller.

Thanks! I needed that.
I am most likely going to get a Jangle Box one, (possibly a tone press), and was going to run it with my Ts9 tubescreamer. I usually run the overdrive pretty low at about 10:00 o'clock and the Boost at about 2:00 o'clock with the tone at noon. If I can add just a bit of chime and jangle with it would be a good thing but didn't want to do this if the boxes are fighting each other. I really need to take some time and get to know a bit more about what all these boxes do. These pedals are a whole new world for me from how things were years ago when I played on a semi-regular basis.
Thanks again

Now I am worried. I wasn't before. I think it's the part about the neutrons.

We may have the plot makings for a Rock/Sci-Fi adventure movie. Obsessed guitarist strikes an A5 power chord with his compressor and over drive on at the same time causing a nuclear chain reaction resulting in a nuclear melt down on earth and opening up a worm hole into a parallel universe. The only thing that could save the planet is a 120db E minor chord resonance played through a 52' Telecaster and Fender twin combined with Chorus Reverb pedal captured from the other parallel universe!........ Oh yeah, we'll need lots of bikini clad blond models and some car chase scenes. (Maybe I should consider cutting down on the coffee before I come on to these forums.)
