Behringer Pedals?
Anyone ever tried these pedals? What do you think? I'd really like to try them they're only $30 per pedal.

I have two Behringer effects pedals - the Sustain-Compressor and the Rotary Speaker emulator. The pedals work as advertised -- but the cases are plastic, and I have never gigged with them, but they hold up fine in a home studio environment. They are reasonably priced if someone wants to check out different effects without spending too much $$$, and later spending the big bucks for the overbuilt metal "tanks". I also have a Behringer Hell-Babe wah, and it's also a good value for the money -- it has an optical sensor rather than a mechanical rheostat, and has additional adjustments for the tone and sweep. The Hell-babe is in a metal case - no plastic there.
Behringer also packages three various effects in one bundle, for $ 99 MSRP: JAZZ TRIO TPK984 Chorus, Compressor and Reverb Guitar Effects Package Including Cables METAL TRIO TPK985 Distortion, Multi-FX and Digital Delay Guitar Effects Package Including Cables BLUES ROCK TRIO TPK987 Amp Modeling, Vibrato and Delay Guitar Effects Package Including Cables / no connection with Behringer

I have the OD100, which is good for a wide range of overdrive and distortion, and sounds pretty decent, especially for $20.00 (2006 prices). The time-based effects are really noisey, but seem to work OK--might be alright if you need a cheap flanger, but I wouldn't record with it.

I've used the BDI21, which is their version of the Sansamp Bass Driver. It's fine for what it does: gives a decent bass tone for the bass player that can't afford a Sansamp.

I own the dr100 which is a copy of the boss rv-5 , I power it from a boss regulated 9v plug, this pedal is extremely noisy , it adds a kind of static noise ( like on old tv's when you see snow , the noise it makes, but higher frequency ), the effect is alright ,but it goes from nothing , to alright , to over the top in just the first 1/4 of the knob.
I also have a od400 which is a copy of the boss od3, this one has a bit of static noise as well , but its not that loud. The overdrive sounds good up to 5/6th on the drive knob , over that it sounds pretty nasty. The cases are made of plastic like others said, the LED's are a problem , they are so bright I'm unable to look at the pedals so I had to put black tape over them , and even then the light shines through pretty bright. Here's something that isn't that big of a deal for me ; whenever I plug them in , or lose power they turn on, until I shut them off. The switches are PCB mounted, so I don't know about long term how they would last, but they are only 20$ so its not a big deal. |

TC90, Do a simple search. There is a "What do you think of Behringer pedals" thread about every three months: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/stomp-box...er-pedals.html http://www.tdpri.com/forum/stomp-box...er-pedals.html http://www.tdpri.com/forum/stomp-box...er-stomps.html |

I had the reverb pedal. Sounded pretty good. I did not care for the fact that the rotary selector knobs had no detents....you simply had to spin the knob and listen for sound changes.
I would favor the cheaper Danelectro pedals.

I have the acoustic preamp pedal and the tuner. The preamp has no headroom and the tuner generates a tone through the amp. I wouldn't recommend either. Never warmed up to the V-Amp II either.

I traded my Behringer pedals ( I had 4 of them including the wha ) in on trade for a couple of Digitech RP 50's Way more Pedal for the money and you can do so much more with them.

I had 4 of these pedals; Digital Delay, Compressor, Acoustic Simulator, Sound Spetrum Enhanser. All four pedals failed. The Digital Delay failed twice because I got a replacement It was a shame because I wnted them to work out. The price was great the design and feel was nice but they all failed......... hands down.

Have the DR100 reverb, DD400 delay and the EQ pedal...had a momentary glitch with the delay once but been fine ever since. I'm pretty happy with them, and the price was nice. Certainly isn't pro gear, but...I'm not a pro guitarist, don't have a pro budget, and they're close enough for me.
YMMV of course. |

I have tried a couple, I really liked the CPL com/limiter(clone of a 80s Ibanez CP9) ,really sounds good. Not good enough to keep though. Tried the Reverb pedal, did not like it

A lot of them are cloning some very rare pedals now. I picked up the Slow Motion (Boss Slow Gear clone), the Vintage Delay (Boss analog delay clone) and the Ultra Vibrato (Boss Vibrato clone). I'm actually really happy with all of them sound-wise.
When I got them, I thought they felt pretty well built, but then I removed the metal base and they pretty much weigh nothing. As far as build quality goes, they might as well be made from paper mache. |

Hey tommorowstars,
Would you please give a quick rundown of your likes and dislikes of the Vintage Delay. I've been looking at one of those but I'm a bit leary of such an inexpensive pedal. It's cheaper than my Starcaster Chorus! Thanks. |
