Just picked up the Fab 50 by Lovepedal...

A lot of curiosity ws peaked by Gainster's raves of the Lovepedal line, so I bit on one on eBay. I have to say that I'm impressed with the true bypass tone. Completely perfect in that regard, no tone colouration. It's is a nice cross between the drive and fuzz depending on how the single control is cranked. The only minus with this bugger is no AC. If anyone out there is familiar with this pedal, I'm curious how many hours you can get outta this before the battery dies?

How do you like it?

Describe the tone etc... The builder Sean let me try a "Believe" which was an Octave up Fuzz and it was very cool... But trying to buy a pedal from the guy is damn near impossible. Quite aggravating really... They sound cool from the clips... I really, really would like to buy a COT50 and Fab50. I need a couple of new pedals like NOW as a couple of my pedals died... but you just can't get anything from him. I guess he's too busy.
Oh well...

Blackcat, A new carbon 9volt will last a year in that pedal.
Very low part count.. Very low current draw..
I'm glad you like the tone.. Sean..

You're right that he's busy.

I've heard that he's quit taking orders as he has too many backordered right now. Check on eBay there is one of his available now, the Bitch Pedal: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...EBWA%3AIT&rd=1

Yeah, I just could never pay $130 (or probably more) for a pedal he was selling for $50 two weeks ago. I guess I'm just gonna have to keep looking for something else.

Sean will serve up his newest pedals at a reduced price to get them in people's hands and on some stage's so he can get feedback from a group of musicians with different tastes.

I think it's pretty cool to get in on the ground floor of a new effect. Next time you see him post a new pedal cheap BUY IT!!! :D :D

BTW: a battery will last a year or more in the 50. I buy 2 for a dollar 9 volts and they last a looooooooooooog time. An ac jack isn't needed really. 8)

I did buy the Fab50 right away. But he sent an email saying it would be 3-4 months delivery... I just can't wait that long. I need the pedals right away. I agree with you on the ground floor thing, I really want to do that... I like Sean he's a really good guy... but I REALLY need pedals right now. I REALLY wanted his COT50 and Fab50... I'm just very frustrated that I can't get them is all. I guess a big part of my frustration is I had decided on his pedals for my rig, but now I've got to scramble and get something else... I've got two huge gigs coming up that I needed them for. Oh well, that's the way the pedal bounces I guess.

Hey Blackcat, I should've looked at your link before I responded to your post, I thought you were posting a link to a Fuzz50 that he's got on Ebay. The one in your link that's the B*tch pedal... it's 2 pedals in one, a boost and an OD... from what Sean says a TS flavor. I don't get along with the TS'es unfortunately, or I would make a run at it! How are you digging the Fab50? That's the pedal I initially wanted, what I will most likely end up with is the COT50(if I have wait or not!) which I think Sean said was similar to the Fab50. He must be making great stuff if he's this busy... I can tell you that the Believe he sent me was Fantastic... it's an octave up Fuzz, but it wasn't typical of others I tried. No knobs at all, preset fuzz and octave... but the Dynamics were unreal, and the overall presence I guess - not sure, hard to put my finger on it... it was Very cool... I'd like to pick up one of those down the road to. Let me know how you are digging the Fab50...
