Right now it's the Vox 848 Clyde McCoy. Sometimes it's a bit harsh on the toe side, but it still has some sweetness. I'm still considering the Area 51 drop-in kit for an older Dunlop shell I have.

Buddha Bud-wah. Quiet, even sweep, clicks on and off reliably and silently.

I came across a Dunlop Crybaby that had been rejected by a few people. Pawn Shop Special.

It's very abrasive by nature and can hit Icepick if set all the way down, only 2/3 of the sweep is usable, the low end completely sounds like someone put a blanket over it. But it's so Tele-esque in the midrange and half the high end, it's almost as if it were made by fender.

While I love the little guy. I'm probably going to buy another wah for more traditional smooth wah (probably the Dunlop classic w/ fasal) for when that's applicable. for funk and hendrix style stoof.

My wah is so Edgy, MMMMMM like an electric saw going through a tree. I'm glad a few people rejected the little guy he is just so me.
As people around here will find out I love edgy tones.

Sorry to bang on, just get an RMC3 a big phillips screwdriver and a little slot-head screw driver then you've basically got every wah pedal you'll ever want!

No affiliation btw.

Bud Wah Wah Wah

Hey there everyone:

Bud wah... bud, and the cry baby has its moments. I tend to use the Budda most. Most musical and smooth. Just my .02

Michael

PS: Picked up a SCXD and did not try any wah(s) through it yet... (Not to hi-jack… Yeah Right! ) but this is a killer little amp for the dough! Getting some type of wierd clicking, I will keep an eye on that.

I vote Buddah Bud-Wah... super great sound to it. You will not be disappointed. Don’t leave the cords plugged in!

i used a dunlop crybaby and it sounded good enough but broke after a year. I got a 90's vox v87 on ebay for 50 bucks and the sound in incredible. harsh on the toe side, but good for feedback and communication breakdown. buttery and muffled sounding on the heel side. must be modded with a different pot?

Cry Baby Classic.

It's got a split personality. Stay away from the very top and very bottom of the sweep and it's sublime. Hit it full sweep and it's rude and nasty. What's not to love about that?
