Dyna Comp

I have a MXR Dyna Comp[block logo] that will not power up. I tried bypassing the battery by using an ac adapter, but still will not work.......dead in the water.
Has anyone else had this problem with any type of stompbox?
Thanks in advance-

Do you have your instrument cable pushed all the way in to the input jack?
You may just have a bad jack or a cold solder joint in the connection. If it was used you can easily resolder the connection and see if that works. That is the easiest thing I can think of before messing with the innards.

Is this a new one or a used one?

Was it working before?

Somtimes the input/output jack can be really snug and fool you into thinking that you have the plug in all the way.

i bought it used about seven years ago. It was and still is in good condition. It worked fine up to about two days ago and just stopped working the other day.

Ok. You may want to wait a little later today and see if some of the more experienced pedal builders chime in and give some more in depth information. It sounds like it could be an easy fix but there is no reason to jump into this willy nilly.
