Old Ibanez CP-9 pedal...Help?????

Hey guys, maybe one of you guys can give me a hand here......

Im currently using a '92 Soldano Hot Rod 50 as my main amp.Ive been playing steadily for over 30 years now,and have a fairly good knowledge of effects pedals, tho live I never use them, straight into the amp is how Ive always done it.My knowledge of compressors is pretty much zero.

So I absolutely love this amp,but I was thinking about something that I might get a bit of a "boost" if you will,as well as possibly smooth out the attack somewhat when I play leads.

I was going through some boxes of stuff I have here, and came across an old original early '80's Ibanez CP 9 compressor pedal I forgot I even had.

Rather then just twiddling knobs,Id really like to find out what the actual function of each knob is.

Three knobs,Level(that one I figured out),Attack Time,and Threshold.

Looking for info on the net,I found nothing.

Maybe one of you guys have experience with one of these pedals,or could explain to me what the knobs are supposed to do.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

I still have the Ibanez CP-9 Comp that I bought when I was in high school!
I think mine is a two knob, though.
big square FET switch, right?

threshold controls the amount of squeeze, I dunno about attack time.

You must have one of the original ones,I think that did have two knobs.

Yep,this one has the big square switch.I got this one at the local music store probably around '82 or '83 maybe.

I dont remember why I bought it,tho when I was younger, money would burn a hole in my pocket if I didnt spend it on some geetar gear.

Little did I know then that with marriage came pants with fire proof pockets.
