Noise Reduction

I was wondering what some of you guys use to eliminate line noise .Would a regular noise gate pedal help reduce single coil hum.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The single coil noise itself can not be alleviated by outboard gear, but you can tame the noise floor of the devices that the single coils amplify. Start at the heart of the matter & make sure your guitar is properly shielded first. Have a look at this thread:
