Danelectro delays
Danelectro Vintage Echo DE-1, Danelectro DJ-17, Danelectro DJ-3 Slap Echo, FAB Echo DD-4 or Danelectro Wasabi Forward Reverse Delay.
Which one of these you recomend for warm ol style slapback echo.

Danelectro Vintage Echo DE-1 refers to the DAN-Echo....which is an AWESOME pedal! Great tone and several options for settings...a very versatile pedal!

I love my Dan-Echo much more than many delays that cost a heck of a lot more!!
I've seen 'em used for as cheap as $20 or $25.

If you just want a slap back, the FAB is a great $15 pedal (new). The delay time is set. It does slap back...it's a one trick pony but it's really nice for slap back. I love my FAB Echo with my Gretsch. I play Johnny Cash tunes and it feels right.

Well, count me in, too.
I've had a Dan Echo since they came out about a decade ago. There's been PLENTY of opportunities to "upgrade" it with other pedals, but I simply have no need. I should preface this by saying that I use it 98% of the time for slapback, but I love being able to tweak the delays. Analog tones with digital versatility. On occaision, I'll use it for very long delays, a la looping instrumental stuff (think Bill Frisell and you'll be on the right track). I like that I can tweak the repeats to a very fine line between precise digital and fuzzy analog. I love using it for the intro to Brown Sugar.
