I just got a bronto boost, Tuesday. Initial impression is good, but its the kind of effect that's going to take time to figure out. 2 gains, a wide ranging tone and master volume. seems very interactive. I initially tried it at joe's booth at the 2002 Arlington show and thought it very cool. The Fuzz was also very nice, but I get dirty looks when I use fuzz at the blues jams.

I'll post more when I have a better handle on the Bronto Boost.

I planning on going to Mike's jam, and yes I'll bring the Bronto along.

I took the bronto to a blues jam last night - very nice. I used my Music Man axis MM90 into the bronto into a DR. sounded real nice. Turned up the guitar just sang, mostly clean but lots of sustain. really jumped out of the mix.

Very cool...

Looking very forward to checking out that Bronto... I spoke to Joe Gagan on the phone, nice guy and really helpful... I'm going to be bringing to the jam a wicked Fuzz/octave pedal from an up and coming pedal builder "Love Pedals."

I had the Dino Fuzz, which was a quality box, but a bit too agressive for my gear & tastes. I traded Joe for a Bronto Boost, which arrived on Monday - it's a little work of art! I'm sort of slammed with acoustic-electric work right now, doubt I'll have a lot of time to tweak the internals for a few... but I plan to slap the Bronto on my board when I hook up with my R'n'R band on Saturday... any & all heads ups from you guys would be appreciated... I'm assuming you folks are using it early in the signal chain? Anything else?

Hi Guys, yes, John, it was nice speaking with you on the phone, and I enjoyed your band's clips - nice lead work!

Tim ,The bronto reacts very well to your guitar vol control in fiurst position, but it does almost the same thing no matter where you put it. It reacts to signal level more than impedance, so the dynamics of the pedal still come through even when buried before and after other peds. thanks for the compliment on the artwork too.
Please let us know how it works out for you.

I get alot of emails saying something along the lines of:

" I used your bronto before/after, ( insert pedal name here), and I got most killer lead tone..."

Thanks for the kind words... I am chomping at the bit to test drive that pedal... the fact that it responds to signal level rather than impedance is really interesting, especially since I play with my vol knob on my axe at about 1/2 for rhythm and turn up to taste for leads. Also the Dino Fuzz really has my interest, I am really thinking I might like something a bit "over the top" so to speak...
