hey guys ;i just orded my microvibe by voodoo labs.i play a tele and it's mostly rhthym with some lead in there half the time.will i be happy ever after with this pedal in my arsenal?will it take the place of my "chorus"pedal?sorry i can't answer any more on this subject cause i'm just leaving work.i'd be gratful for any response on this pedal ...i can't wait!!!...happy 4th everyone!!

I recently got one of these myself and have liked it so far, though I have yet to quite find it's proper spot in my chain and what specifically I want to do with it. The general consensus seems to be that it's a solid pedal, if you want a vibe sound without shelling out a load of cash, it's the one to have.

Depending on how you use your chorus this may or may not replace it. If you were going for more of a faux-vibe with it, then the MV should blow it away. If you were going more for that lush aqua chorus sound, you may want to keep it on the board. I did, but again, that's up to use.

Enjoy it though, it's fun to tweak with and, I think, nails a great uni-vibe tone!

I have a Microvibe and love it but I still keep a modded CE2 on my board. I also still have an MXR Phase 90 and it has not replaced that either.

If you want a more vintage sound try the microvibe before and overdrive or a dirty amp - think Robin Trower on Bridge of Sighs. Turn the volume on your guitar down and get that just breaking up Leslie sound then crank it up for spacier sounds. It is very noisy this way so I built a noise gate (BYOC) to use in these circumstances.

I love my Microvibe. Sounds horrible after distortion, but good before it. I tend to use it clean more often than distorted anyway.

I've had one for several years in my board. Don't use it much. But it's nice sometimes for certain tunes that come up or, when wanting to break up the monotony. Only issue I've had with mine is the footswitch goin' out. Already sent it back to the factory once for them to replace it. And damned if it didn't start again with the volume loss crap. You then have to work that footswitch on & off for a bit to clear it up. To me, it ain't no chorus replacement though. The Analog Man Bi-Chorus stays in the board for sure.

Yeah. Sure...

I like this pedal a lot, but it's the DARKEST-sounding box I own. I work around that by putting it into a Boss LS-2 "line selector," which lets me blend the clean and effected sounds.
