In need for a cap for RAT

I'm looking for a 30 pF cap for a vintage rat, can anyone help me?

Go to your nearest Rat-shack. They'll have it. And any 30pF will do it.

Radio Shack may have them, but if you need a few other things, I'd order from SmallBearElectronics.com .

Thanks for the correction, its one of my favorite sites so I just type in part of the address, then the rest pops into my browser, so I haven't typed the full address in awhile...

That's a DIY project! Smallbear has not,I was looking for a web site, shipping to Europe needed!.
30 pF looks difficult to find...and 3 10 pF in parrallel doesn't sound good...

3 10's in parallel will sound fine. There's not enough current in the circuit to make it noticeable, IMO.

You could probably use 50 pF or even 100 pF and not notice the difference. You may even prefer it a little higher!

So if 30 pf would be change with 27 or 33 non differences? I still havent found 30...

If you can hear a difference with a 3 pF change, you have superhuman hearing!

I actually capped a rat, TWICE this morning...The Verminators have nuthin' on me!
