Wah Pedal Problems

I have a PSK wah pedal and lately its been making a crackling noise throgh the amp when imove it up and down do u have any idea wat it is and how 2 fix it?

It's probably the pot (the little thingy inside that turns as you rock the pedal back and forth). It could just be dirty, so buy a can of compressed air (from Radio Shack or wherever) and spray it good while moving it back and forth. After that it's a good idea to do it every once in a while, to prevent more problems.

It could also be that the pot is just worn out, in which case you'll either need to replace it or replace the wah.

I have the same problem. I keep meaning to try the compressed air (and have heard it often solves the problem) but havent yet.

You may want to try a contact cleaner as well after compressed air. It'll lubricate the pot helping to remove any particles that are inside creating the scratch/static.
