Bad Monkey fans - what about the Screamin' Blues?

Just wondering if anyone has compared the two. I went to GC last week to pick up a Bad Monkey and they were out of stock... almost bought the Screamin' Blues. Both were on sale for $39.99. I didn't try it out... it was Guitar Center

Yes, I did. I tried both at my GC.

But you already bought the S-B, so my opinion will be a little useless by now.
However …
I was intrigued by the promotional lit that says the S-B responds to the player’s style and touch. I did not find that to be the case at all.
I found the S-Blues to be very harsh sounding and I much preferred the Monkey. FWIW.

I have a Screamin' Blues, and I like it a lot. I like it better than my Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive. I turn the bass knob all the way up and the treble knob almost all the way down and it adds some nice low end to my Blues Jr. Plus the overdrive is nice. Sometimes I use the Screamin' Blues and Sparkle Drive together for some good controllable feedback ala Hendrix.

I just got a slightly used (still in original packing) Bad Monkey from eBay & I really like it...$32 including shipping. So, my simplistic signal chain is G&L tele into a tube screamer (always on) into the BM (solos) into Vox ad30vt (Tweed model with a little delay.) I wish I would have had this little set up when I gigged as opposed to all the big stuff I carried around.

I have other pedals, but I am not using them right now. I used a Bad Bob for a while & although I like it, it doesn't do what the BM does at a fraction of the cost.

The SB needs a compressor in front of it, turn it down quite a bit and way cool Blues tones.
