Tremolo suggestions?
It's an effect I can slowly hearing my self use more and more. Any suggestions on what pedal to pick up? Basically I'm a cheap bastard so I wont be paying too much and really am just looking at e-bay and Daddy's junkie music.

+1 on the Dano.
Also, the Guyatone VT-3 Tremolo sounds realy good and has a small footprint for your pedalboard (if you have one). I think they're $75 new, so used might be close to the Artec your looking at.

Two easy steps for acquiring the poor mans tremolo.
1) Grab your tele's headstock. 2) Shake vigorously. Note: to be used with caution. References. http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/crack.htm |

I've gigged my Tuna Melt for a year and it's ok. I spent as much for the pedal as I would for a 6 pack of beer. |

Don't know what you mean but that statement. But I believe Durtdog was saying that for the lower price than the Artec the Dano Tuna Melt is a pretty good pedal at a great price.

Dan-o Rocks
TUNA MELT TUNE MELT TUNA MELT!!!
...and it's the color of used beer. They come with a protective cover to protect the admitedly flimsy knobs, and the stomp button should be fine as long as you don't actually 'stomp' it. I keep mine on the top of the amp as it is usually either on or off for the entire length of the song. I have the Carl Martin as well, and am selling the Carl Martin. Dan-O mini-pedals in general are excellent, and low-priced. |

I'm another happy Tuna Melter, but I must say, the superior pedal for a little more money is the Marshall Vibratrem Pedal. It has all the great features of the Dano but you get a knob for gradual shaping of the trem wave, not just a hard switch from square to round wave. Plus there is a "Vibrato" option that I'd probably just ignore, but it could come in handy. Oh and it has two output jacks for stereo send of the tremolo effect. Maddening to my ears, but again, it could come in handy.
You can see my trusty little TM down on the floor. I'm editing this post now. Though I've always wanted that Marshall VT-1, I'm reading the reviews on the page I linked too and it seems to be pretty unreliable. I figured the all metal construction would mean it was better built, but I've used my Tuna Melt (in it's cheap plastic case) for about 8 years now without any trouble, so… TUNA MELT!
