Fuzz fault?
I recently bought myself a Biyang Tonefancier fuzz pedal off ebay... loved the sound, but there appears to be a fault; when the pedal is off, a very faint fuzz comes through in the background, separate from the clean sound. This sound increases with as the 'level' knob is turned up, and the LED partially lights up, relative to the amount of signal coming from the guitar.
I've tested every variable - guitars, leads, batteries/9v supplies etc, and nothing makes any difference. The problem is, I returned the pedal, but the guy who sold it says he can't find any fault. I'm not suggesting that he's dodgy, because he's happy to replace/refund and has been very helpful, but I'm worried that the replacement will be the same. Is there anything anyone can think of that would cause this problem? thanks. |

weird...The seller says he "triple tests" each pedal. Maybe it's just a characterstic of the pedal and they all do that? There are so many good fuzz pedals available I say just go with a different one altogether. He may not return your money the second time around even.

Any other good fuzz pedals that won't cost the earth? Guess i'm aiming at a dinosaur jr, pavement, lemonheads sort of sound... except with a tele. I'm also trying to scrape money together for a pedaltrain 2, and a power supply... these things aren't as cheap over here unfortunately! |

BTW I've been meaning to get a Big Muff for sometime now...One of my favorite albums is the Dwarves 'Lick it' and I wanted to know what fuzz 'He Who Can Not Be Named' used on that CD so I emailed him and asked and he actually responded with just two words, "Big Muff!"
