pedals that sound good not crapie
Hi i have a new American Standard Telecaster and a jazzmaster and running it through a fender pro tube concert amp, I want to buy some good sounding pedals like a tremlo a chours and a delay i have my eyes and ears on the line 6 DL4 delay one that one sounds good to me. Can anyone give me some good ideas on what to buy. On the chorus i like to get some thing nice and warm so i can sing with it and have a nice guitar chours in the backing

Chorus - Arion SCH-1 ![]() The Arion is a good all round pedal , and probably quickly becoming the chorus equivalent of the TS808 overdrive , as far as it's price is starting to rocket now , as people start to covet it . Only plastic , but one of the best , and great for most requirements , including stereo . Delay - Rocktron Short Timer ![]() The short timer is a great pedal for Country and slap back delay settings , and puts a beautiful overall shimmer to your sound . Not so good for long delay settings as the name suggests , but very analog sounding and low price . The one I have is very quiet too . Takes up a lot of room on the board . Trem - Line 6 Tone Core ![]() This pedal does a great job , but it is noisy in the front of the amp , so would suggest adding it to the loop . Really needs it's own power supply too . Not cheap .

The line 6 dl4 is very popular. The only thing I think it can't do is dotted 8ths which the Boss DD6 or now dd7 can. Chorus is all personal in my view. I have a CE5 and I never use it. Visual Sounds makes a chorus slash echo unit http://www.visualsound.net/v2h2o.htm. Some prefer analog over digital or true bypass over the Boss's. Tell us what your looking for.

The best delay I've ever had is the EHX Deluxe Memory Man, though it's quite pricey. And analog, so you get some dirt and degrading of your signal on the decays.
I also use a Small Clone for chorus. Kind of a one trick pony but it's quite a trick, as they say.

Keeley's own pedals and their modded ones are great. Line-6's DL4 and MM4 are also very good. The new MXR Carbon Copy is simply outstanding.
I can also recommend crappy ones. |

Ive got a crappy Behringer overdrive that sounds good...My not-so-crappy Korg Toneworks Dynamic Echo is a great little delay. For Tremolo I've played a BYOC Tremolo that sounded as good as my Twin Reverb and Dual Showmans trem...Some crappy pedals will sound good through a good amp.

I have noticed good pedals make a cheap amp sound good. Hartman Compressor is a great (orange squeezer type compressor), Eden Analog Nashville Hot boost is a great boost that really emulates the Nashville sound.
Keeley 2 knob is a great Ross type comp that is great. Jim
