I'm so thrilled with my new toy!

But despite this being posted in The Stomp Box section, it won't make a sound. Here it is, a couple of pictures of my new Radial Tailbone:

What is it and what does it do?

It will allow me to take two 9v supplies from my Boss power supply and converts it to 15v power required by my Radial Switchbone.

Although only a tiny device, it's going to save me so much hassle as the Switchbone currently has a US Power supply (hence it needs a transformer too) and of course the pedalboard is powered by it's own power supply. Once I can power the Switchbone via the Tailbone off my 9v Boss power supply, I'll only need one plug and setting up will take just a few seconds and look a lot neater.

I use the Switchbone to switch between two amps but more typically between the two channels of my Fender Deluxe Reverb (a RI that has been re-wired as a PTP amp).

This is a prototype and Radial are not sure when they are going to put it into production. I've been [politely] hassling the Radial Engineering President via e-mail about getting one and a couple of months ago he agreed to supply me with one (for a modest fee) to field test one. I say a couple of months ago, because I feared it had been lost in the post as it was posted 8-weeks ago from Canada. However, despite only having part of the address label remaining, and importantly no postcode (zip code) or country of destination , Canada Post and Royal Mail worked it out and it was collected this morning.

I still need a 2.1mm "Boss" style barrel plug to 2.1mm "Boss" style barrel plug cable to run between my prototype Tailbone and Switchbone but it's going to make life so much easier now I can ditch the additional power supply (and US to UK transformer - not a small or light beast in itself!).

Any suggestions where I can get a 75mm (3-in) Boss - Boss cable?

Peter

looks like a perfect product for them to have- since it makes it easier for customers to run their switch pedals... I have a Headbone VT & love it.

You're right. Had I realised that the Switchbone was 15v I may have thought twice about purchasing one but it does do exactly what they claim and does it well.

I love my Switchbone and will enjoy it even more now that it's easier to set up.
