Computer audio interface?

I am really just beginning to learn about the most basic things!

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap model...I would like to connect my guitar to my computer...I just realized that I could then utilize online tuners.

Then who knows?...tab software?

Thanks a million!

I'm going straight into a Sound blaster audigy with a breakout bok that mounts in a regular CD-ROM sized drive bay. 1/4' audio-in on the front, as well as RCA and TOSLINK optical. You can get an Audigy 2ZS Platinum with that drive bay breakout box very cheaply. That and Audacity (free recording software) make for a great start. The m audio fast track is nicer, better preamps, and worth the money, but the Soundblaster is working great for me.
