Rediscovering the Direct Drive

I've had my DD for a while, since it was "Pedal of the Week." It's on my board, but I don't use it much. At a jam last night, I spent some time with it since I was trying a different chorus pedal too. I turned the drive up a bit more then usual and ended up with a sound that was in the neighborhood of Eric Clapton on the Fresh Cream album. And that was with a Gretsch and a Boogie MK I RI. I don't know if it was the DD, but I was playing stuff I didn't know I had in me.

If you have one and haven't used it for a while, pull it out and give it another shot.

I sold mine a while ago and have recently thought of getting another one for some heavier stuff. It's between that or trying the OCD or Crunch Box.
