MXR Dyna Comp Script Logo question

I'm having fun with this thing, and I can tell the difference in tone between my new one and the script logo.

The question is: I assume when you have a plug in the input jack that it engages the batter and starts draining it?

Most pedals do, but I just want to make sure. it is the only battery only device I have on my board, so I need to place it accordingly if that is the case as far as battery draw.

I'm sure some of you that have one or have owned one will be able to tell me.

Thanks!

I would place the MXR as the 1st Pedal that my guitar goes in. The compressor always works best if it comes before dist, delay's, etc.

I'm putting this one right after the Wah pedal. I don't plan to use it that much, but what about the battery drain? Does it drain when the input is pugged it?

I'm putting my second Dyna Comp right ofter my overdrive pedals. I have a bypass so it can bypass the overdrive pedals and the last compressor. This way if I'm using two overdrive pedals, I can turn them on and off with just one click.

Funny, it actually sounds good with both compressors on!

Hey, I found a cool way to attach it to my pedal board.

I took an aluminum plate and drilled and countersunk the screw holes. I then used the case screws to screw the new plate and the old plate to the box. I then put velcro on the new plate. The original plate is intact under it. Vintage stays vintage!

Well the battery will drain if you leave the input plugged in which is on the right of the pedal.
