Am i stupid?
i think ive gone off the deep end. ive considered selling my old boss dm2 for an mxr carbon copy and my keeley blues driver for a Visual sound route 808.

I don't know anything about the dm2, or the CC (though I may be getting one soon) but I don't think the Route 808 would really compare with the quality of your Keeley.

Selling pedals....
I started the MXR CC delay thread after I bought mine. That being said, I'm not getting rid of my Boss DM-2 or 3. I think the MXR sounds great and I'm way happy with it, but I still love my old delays and they are getting very hard to find anymore - thus the reason for finding a new delay.
I look at it like this: the old pedals are better than pets. They keep going up in value, don't eat or poop - so it's really a win win! Johnny Isaacs

I'd add the 808 to the Blues Driver. They're complimentary, not mutually exclusive. I use a BD2 and a Bad Monkey together sometimes, the BM adds the mid boost for solos over the BD's rhythm OD.

My tastes change back and forth so much, I never sell anything. I'd end up buying the same thing again, or kicking myself around the block...

I have to say I agree with you, Yes you are stupid!
Now just buy the Carbon copy later when the price goes down. Or when people start to say they suck and start dumping them for the new flavor of the month! Remember Stupid is Stupid Does, I have been in the stupid boat doing some stupid things myself in the past! |
