POD X3 Live

Well, I went and did it. The guys wanted to go ampless, and I got the X3 live. I have had it fer 3 weeks now and I have to say, that a techno grouch like me, can get around on it, make great sounds, and really use it.

I am not selling all my amps and stuff, but to go to a gig with a pedal board, 2 gits and gig all night is really nice. So I will give you an update as Ifigure this out.

I'm eager for them to finally release the long-delayed software editor. I delayed restarting some recording projects in anticipation of the 2nd or 3rd promised delivery date last month.

I think the unit sounds great, but the housing does not seem as rugged as that of the POD XT Live.

Line 6 finally released the Gearbox software editor for the Pod X3 series, which makes it like a whole new machine for me. It reminded me of why I like my Variax, too. The ability to easily bundle and tweak guitar, amp, cab and effects models in patch banks and switch back and forth between them with ease is great for both creativity and efficiency.
