Classic Tone OT/PT mounting bolts?

My 5e3 classic tone transformer set did not come with any bolts/nuts to mount them.

Specifically, the OT has no nuts/bolts.

The PT has just the 4 bolts that secure to the screws that hold the unit together.

Did triode forget the hardware or is this something I need to get local?

Should I remove the existing nuts on the PT and use them to mount the unit to the chassis, or should I get some new ones and leave the current ones there?

Thanks

I used the PT nuts to mount it and got my own hardware for the OT.

I actually contacted Classictone about this.. Supposedly APD sells them with mounting hardware, Triode store doesn't. Shouldn't be much of an issue for you, but this side most things are metric so gotta hunt around for the correct ones.

Get some new ones. My 5E3 set and my Vibro Champ set didn't have them either.

PT takes #8 nuts and star washers.

5/8" or 3/4" inch long #6 machine screws with star washers and nuts work well for OT.

Had a HARD time finding those #8 nuts in Japan! Finally got 4 stainless steel nuts for a little over $3.

For the metric folks, OT works with M4 (mm) X 20mm.

I took the nuts off my first Classictone PT and reinstalled them in order to attach it to the chassis. Pretty stupid idea. You really don't want to be trying to get nuts on and off over that goop they put on the screws.

Oops and I meant star washers too!!
Are you grounding some stuff @ PT bolts also? You'll need those lil grounding tags with teeth (clearly I don't know actual names well!!)

It took me a while, but I finally found a place that sells kep nuts for reasonable prices. It's located at http://www.fastenermart.com.

It's even better now that it's spelled right.

People at Amp Garage are recommending McMaster-Carr.

For my kits and builds I've purchased many hundreds of fasteners from McMaster Carr. Their products and service has been excellent.

The prices are so low at fastener mart, I had to order some keps nuts and machine screws to sample them. When I get a great deal on quality parts, I pass the savings along to my customers.

I suspect that the quality will be good.

I have no complaints, but I'm not stressing them to the limit, either.
